Actively sustainable luxury hotels
Environmentally Conscious
From biodegradable corn starch amenities and wooden key cards to refillable vegan bath products and a wastewater treatment system, the dedicated green team is continually developing 137 Pillar Suites’ eco-initiatives. The onsite herb garden is soon to be expanded, which currently grows lemongrass, pumpkin, edible flowers, and various vegetables, and supplies the hotel’s Nimitr restaurant alongside locally sourced produce from Thai farmers and fishermen. The house tea is ethically harvested from sustainable forests in northern Thailand, providing a long term source of income for local tea planters. The hotel supports a reforestation project in Ratchaburi, and collaborates with an organic farm just outside the city. Guests are encouraged to walk or cycle (using the hotel’s electric bikes and scooters) on day trips to nearby Benjasiri Park, Benjakitti Forest, and Bang Krachao – an urban oasis of mangrove forests along the Chao Phraya River.
Cultural Custodians
Designed with traditional Thai elements in mind (including silk, teak wood, and intricate handmade carvings) the hotel displays local arts and crafts and collaborates with Bangkok-based artisans on furniture updates and exhibitions. Hand-woven silk for the suites’ pillows and curtains is sourced from the nearby Jim Thompson House, an art centre and residence of the late ‘Thai Silk King’. The hotel makes an annual contribution to Kamthieng House Museum (within the grounds of the Siam Society) to support ongoing restoration works and preserve the authentic Lanna architecture. Regular cultural tours are available to book through 137 Pillars’ knowledgeable concierge, including an art tour exclusively curated by Bangkok’s leading art guru Panu Boonpipattanapong (Eddie) for the hotel. Enjoy edible craft with 137 Pillar’s themed lucky charms afternoon tea, created with local jewellery brand Ravipa which makes every piece by hand.
Community Minded
Contributing to a number of local non-profit organisations and Thai charities, 137 Pillars Suites aims to foster a brighter future for those in need. The hotel regularly donates VIP hamper products to the Autistic Thai Foundation, as well as snack boxes, reusable soap, and funds raised by staff activities to the Good Shepherd Foundation (working to empower women, children, and vulnerable communities). Hotel staff donated their uniforms to Kanrittha Karnka, an intermediary group that collects donations from the city and delivers much-needed items to support underprivileged children living in remote areas on the country's borders. 137 Pillars purchases locally wherever possible, such as patterned fabric amenity bags made in traditional Pa Kao Ma sarong design from a supplier in Ratchaburi, tea leaves from the Chiang Rai forest, and dried mango from local social and agricultural enterprise, Doi Kham.

Check in went seemless, the pools and views are amazing and small touches like turndown service made us feel as comfortable as you'd imagine of a mother's womb. Well done Team!
